Welcome to my studio…

We live on 10 acres in the rolling hills of Bell Buckle, Tennessee! It’s horse country and an hour’s drive from Nashville.

I grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio and earned my degree from the College of Design, Art, Architecture and Planning at the University of Cincinnati. This started with a foundation in Bauhaus Design and then I studied Life Drawing, Painting, Printmaking, Fabric Arts, Ceramics, Sculpture and Photography. When I graduated I taught Middle School Art for a couple years, then joined a national Ad Agency and did graphic design and illustration for Fortune 500 companies. When my husband graduated from The Ohio State University, we moved to Pennsylvania where we raised our son and daughter in Lancaster, PA, only an hour from Philadelphia. During those years, I worked for a small book publisher designing and illustrating, freelanced, taught art part-time at a private school, then opened my own gallery and teaching studio and created lots of commissioned art work.

I’ve studied with some of the best contemporary painters in the country— in oils, portraiture, landscapes, still life, and watercolor.

I’ve also studied Surface Pattern Design with Immersion, as well as how to design historical patterns with Barbel Dressler in Repertoire, and luxury wedding stationery design with Elisabeth Stuckey.

I am now licensing art patterns and prints for home decor, fashion, stationery, and products, as well as selling semi-custom wedding stationery suites, art prints and my own line of stationery cards.

Last year we bought 10 acres in Bell Buckle* so we could do a little homesteading, and to be in a beautiful place to have a studio to work from. My current art features the botanicals, birds, animals insects, and landscape I see around me.

My color palette is full of natural colors and I specialize in providing patterns with exact color matching to paint colors from Benjamin Moore, Behr, Sherwin Williams and Farrow & Ball. I especially love the Historical and Williamsburg color palettes.

I hope you can feel the sense of a cozy, peaceful home and fresh air when you look at my work.

Come back to visit often!
