Welcome to my studio...

It’s nestled in the rolling hills of Bell Buckle, Tennessee in the middle of horse country and an hour’s drive from Nashville.

I grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio, taking art lessons at the Cincinnati Art Museum and the Cincinnati Art Academy Honors Program in high school. Then I earned my degree from the College of Design, Art, Architecture and Planning at the University of Cincinnati, where I studied the foundations of Graphic Design and the Fine Arts.

When I graduated, I taught Middle School Art for a couple years in Cincinnati, then worked in the Creative Department for a national ad agency in Columbus, Ohio. We did graphic design and illustration for Fortune 500 companies as well as for smaller businesses, the Governor’s office, and The Ohio State University. When my husband graduated from OSU, we moved to Pennsylvania where we raised our son and daughter in Lancaster, PA, only an hour from Philadelphia. During those years, I worked for a small Christian book publisher designing and illustrating, freelanced, taught art part-time at a private school, then opened my own little gallery and teaching studio, and created lots of commissioned art work.

I’ve studied with some of the best contemporary painters in the country— in oils, portraiture, landscapes, still life, and watercolor.

I’ve also studied Surface Pattern Design with Bonnie Christine’s Immersion, as well as how to design historical patterns with Barbel Dressler in Repertoire. I am now a part of several professional groups to consistently improve my skill base.

My style leans towards timeless, classic fashion and home decor, sometimes a little more modern and sometimes more nostalgic.

Please reach out to me with any questions and I look forward to hearing from you!
